Jumping Competitions in Abu Dhabi

The week-end Show Jumping competitions will be held at the Abu
Dhabi Equestrian Club on December 18 and 19, 2008. The show is
being organized by the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club in
cooperation with the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation.
The competitions will have six categories from Class 1 to
Class 6. Class 1 for Category D riders, Class 2 for C2 riders
and Class 3 for A, B riders will he held on Thursday, December
18 and will begin at 5 pm.
Friday will feature competitions for Class 4 for Category D
riders, Class 5 for Category C1 riders and Class 6 for A, B
riders and the competitions will again begin at 4.30 pm.. The
featured categories include Clear round Jumping, Special Two
Phases, One Round Against the Clock and One Round with
Jump-Off.
The officials for the Championship include Atef Shawky (Jury
President), Aziz Haroun and Ms. Christine Gruber (Judges), Ali
Al Junaibi (NF Steward) and Ali Mujaher (Course Designer).
The show jumping competitions are organized by the UAE
Equestrian and Racing Federation during weekends in the cooler
months of the year and held in various riding venues including
Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, Emirates Equestrian Centre, Sharjah
Equestrian and Racing Club, Ajman Equestrian Club and Ras Al
Khaimah Equestrian Club.
It is important to mention here that the UAE is the only
country in the region with both a national circuit of weekly
shows and also full international Tour of FEI competitions.
Facilities afforded to the riders are compliant with those
recommended by FEI. The arenas, fences and the management of
the shows are truly of the highest standard. Because of this
the riders are presented with the best of facilities through
which they can fully realize their potential. |
