The three- day Emirates Show Jumping Championship,
organised by Emirates Equestrian Federation at the GPRC
premises for the first time, also featured competitions for
various other categories of riders including Category A, B, C,
D and Open Class.
His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of
the Emirates Equestrian Federation, was present on the
concluding day to distribute trophies to the winning jumpers.
In the same Category A, Ahmed Ali Al Junaibi from the Emirates
Heritage Club finished second riding Picobello Wodiena in
54.49 seconds. Third place went to Abdullah Humaid Al Muahiri
from the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, who partnered
Quatro-H and clocked 55.65 seconds.
Sheikh Shakboot Nahyan Al Nahyan, from the Emirates Heritage
Club, who shared the first place along with Farhang Sadeghi
(from Jebel Ali Equestrian Club) in the Open Class event,
finished seventh in the Category A riding Vitesse Grednfield.
(74.28 seconds).
In Category B, Rashed Mohammed Al Romaithi from the Abu Dhabi
Equestrian Club finished in the first place riding Icard Des
Bois. (58.87 seconds, no faults). Second place went to Abdul
Rahman S. Al Ka'abi from Sharjah Equestrian Club who was
riding Feine S (49.85 seconds with four faults). Ajman
Equestrian Club rider Ali Abdullah Al Kumaiti grabbed the
third place riding Al Mutamaken (52.7 seconds, 4 faults).
Category C saw Mohammed Abdullah Mohair Al Katbi from he Royal
Stables clinching first place astride Koki. ( 48.71 seconds, 4
faults). Second and third places respectively went to Yousef
Hashem Al Refai (Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, Absolut Mandrin,
42.16 seconds, 8 faults) and Naser Khamis Ali Saeed ( Emirates
Heritage Club, Why Mea, 45.16 seconds, eight faults).
Mohammed Hasan Al Musawi from the Emirates Heritage Club was
the Category D champion. Musawi clocked 78.78 seconds riding
ABC Caddy. Abdul Rahman Ahmed Ameen (Ajman Equestrian Club,
Caleeto, 93.05 seconds, seven faults) finished in the second
place and Abdullah Salem Jumaa Al Zaabi (Emirates Heritage
Club, Centurio 9, 60.65 seconds, nil faults) finished in the
fourth place.
The Dh 235,000 Championship, sponsored by Dream International,
media and advertising consultants, was supported by Emirates
Transport, Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Al Awani General
Enterprises, apart from the Ghantoot Polo and Equestrian Club,
which is chaired by Sheikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. |
