Two contenders for FEI Children's Jumping Qualifier

Madeleine Wilson from Al Fursan Stables and Sultan Ahmed Saleh Al Tabali from Emirates Heritage Club were the only two Category "A" riders who successfully completed the FEI Children's International Jumping Qualifier competitions held at the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club on May 1 and 2, 2009. The two-day event for Category A and B riders featured a total of 33 jumpers with 15 from the UAE alone.

Madeleine, from the USA, was placed first after two days and four rounds with eight faults and Sultan was placed second with 40 faults. Madeleine partnered Carinio 7 and Sultan Ahmed was riding Alba Sun. These results will be sent to the FEI, the international equestrian body, which will decide, based on the rankings, whether they are qualified for the finals to be held in Abu Dhabi in December this year.

Unfortunately Alesha Ali Al Shami from the Sharjah Equestrian Club and Abdul Rahman Ahmed Ameen from the Ajman Equestrian Club were eliminated on the second day.
